The goal of this project was to see the effects of social isolation in a critical period of female rats vs male rats. We found that female rats in social isolation during "middle school age" are more likely to indulge in self-serving coping mechanisms such as alcohol.

Impact of Chronic Stress on Cancer Cachexia
The goal of this project was to identify if chronic stress has an impact on cancer cachexia development in cancer patients. We found results that support evidence of chronic stress increasing muscle size in cachectic patients, though tumor sizes varied in murine models so further research is required in order to create conclusions.
