The Bepko Student Advisory Board is a select group of students that have shown an interest in leadership and involvement in the scholarship program. The board meets monthly to discuss details about the student experience, the scholarship program, prospective student engagement, and alumni relations, as well as to assist in event planning. This group includes students from a variety of academic concentrations and cohorts to best represent the interests of the Bepko Scholars and Fellows Program.

Kimberly Batten
Year joined: 2022
Kimberly joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to collaborate with talented scholars on events and to volunteer services for her peers. Her favorite memory within the Bepko Program is the annual Bepko Recognition Ceremony. She's always excited to congratulate new scholars and invite them to the Bepko Program.
Gavin Burtch

Gavin joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to get more involved with the Bepko community and to plan social and volunteer events for Bepko Scholars. His favorite memory with the Bepko Scholars is volunteering at White River State Park for Bepko Volunteer Day!
Megan Goley

Megan joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to cultivate a community within the Bepko Scholars and to create opportunities for scholars to connect with IU Indianapolis and Indianapolis communities. Her favorite part of the Bepko Program is Bepko Volunteer Days because she gets to know other scholars and serves the community at the same time.

As the previous Bepko Program intern, Abby created the Bepko Student Advisory Board to create more opportunities for Bepko Scholar engagement and to connect students within the Bepko Program. Her favorite memory with the Bepko Program is Bepko Volunteer Day at White River State Park.

Karlie joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to give back to future Bepko Scholar cohorts and to help plan the events and community building that allows everyone to feel accepted. Her favorite memory is paddle-boating on the canal during her first-year Bepko Retreat!
Catie Sprunger

Catie became the current Bepko Program intern to continue increasing the close community within the Bepko Scholars. Her favorite memory is the Bepko Retreat! Meeting scholars on the first day of moving in comforted her during her transition to college, and those scholars are still some of her closest friends.
Emerson Taylor

Emerson joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to make an impact on volunteerism here at IU Indianapolis and to help incoming Bepko Scholars along the way. Her most memorable experience has been planning and leading the Bepko Retreat. She enjoys introducing new Bepko Scholars to campus.

Lexi wanted to be part of the Bepko Student Advisory Board to collaborate with other scholars to plan community outreach events. Her favorite part of the Bepko Program is Bepko Volunteer Days, when she's able to learn more about the Indianapolis community while meeting new people.
