HON-H 200 Introduction to Honors
A requirement for students admitted to the Honors College for fall 2022 or later
Congratulations on becoming a member of the IU Indianapolis Honors College. We're looking forward to getting to know you.
HON-H 200 is a 1 credit hour course designed to introduce you to our Honors College community. This course will help you develop your identity as an Honors College student; provide opportunities to form connections with honors peers, faculty, and staff; think intentionally about planning your experience as an Honors College student to meet your academic and personal goals; and introduce you to your required senior honors portfolio.
HON-H 200 is required of all honors students admitted to the Honors College in fall 2022 and later and must be completed to graduate with the Honors College notation on your diploma. Students admitted as continuing students through their academic school must complete HON-H 200 prior to earning 9 credit hours in honors and prior to requesting the study abroad stipend.
This course is particularly important to help you make the most of your Honors College experience. You will get to know other honors scholars, faculty, and staff; learn about honors organizations and engaged learning opportunities; gain firsthand knowledge on developing honors contracts; and start your honors journey set up for success.
