Costa Rica: Honors College Service Learning
The IU Indianapolis Honors College will offer a seven-day study abroad program in March based in Guanacaste, Costa Rica for Honors students. This program will allow Honors students to have service learning experiences in community organizations in the Guanacaste area to increase their understanding of issues impacting Costa Rica. Through their service learning, the students will engage in dialogue with Costa Ricans to learn about Costa Rican society and culture. Students will also critically examine the goals, purposes, and structures of their service sites as they reflect on their service experiences. The students will also visit internationally famous ecotourism sites.
