Honors scholars frequently engage in cutting-edge research with faculty. Research includes any scholarly or artistic activity that leads to the production of new knowledge, increased problem-solving capabilities including design and analysis, original critical or historical theory and interpretation, or the production of art or artistic performance.
The benefits of undergraduate research are as vast as the topics available to you. You'll have experience working with faculty, excellent preparation for graduate or professional school, and a proven track record of project management for the workforce.
Additionally, Honors College students may showcase their research skill development by completing the honors research microcredential. The microcredential may be shown to a prospective employer, internship supervisor, or graduate or professional school admissions committee. Upon earning the microcredential, you will be able to display it on your ePortfolio, LinkedIn page, or resume.
