Be a teaching assistant for HON-H 200
HON-H 200 Introduction to Honors teaching assistants will develop leadership and communication skills as they help students new to the Honors College develop their identity as honors students; make connections with honors peers, faculty, and staff; and plan their honors journey in and out of the classroom.
Peer teaching assistants will:
- Develop or improve communication skills in the following areas:
- Interpersonal communication
- Developing and delivering presentations
- Leadership
- Empathy and listening skills
- Decision-making
- Collaboration
- Providing honest feedback
- Be a positive role model to their students
- Help students become connected to the Honors College
- Develop a professional relationship with students and faculty
- Enhance knowledge of Honors College and campus resources
