To Lillie, being a Bepko Scholar means “being a part of a community that encourages positive values and continuous learning.” As a Bepko Scholar, she hopes to have a positive impact in the community and represent IU Indianapolis. Lillie looks forward to finding any needs in and around IU Indianapolis and finding ways to best help out. In high school, Lillie volunteered with the Reins to Recovery organization where she assisted in the feeding and care of horses, and she played numerous roles in therapy lessons. Her most notable award was the “Ten Year 4-H Member” where she was recognized for being an active member with high-earning points. In the 4-H program, she also received the Plant and Environmental Sciences scholarship and tenure award. Outside of school, Lillie loves to travel and learn new things. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to study abroad and be a part of the Honors College. She also hopes to further her education by obtaining her master's degree in forensics.
