Emily is originally from Indianapolis and lives on the east side with her husband and daughter. She earned her bachelor’s degree in art history and comparative literature from Indiana University Bloomington, and a master’s degree in education from Bank Street College of Education in New York City. She joined the Honors College in 2013 after working for the Herron School of Art and Design for seven years. Prior to her time with IU Indianapolis, she managed the college internship program at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis and worked in the marketing department at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City. Emily serves as the honors advisor for Plater Scholars and Chancellor's Scholars (last names H–P). In addition to her role as an honors advisor, she oversees the Honors Peer Mentor Program. Emily is also the staff advisor for the Honors Arts and Culture Society and serves on IU Indianapolis's Study Abroad Advisory Committee.
