Bepko Scholar to Rubab means “being a part of a community where we make positive changes within our community and better ourselves constantly.” In high school, she was able to tutor young Afghan girls, helping them learn English and do better at school. Rubab credits her mom for influencing her life the most. Rubab says, “She broke many generational cycles of gender-based stereotypical roles.” Rubab loves film and cinema and wants to pursue a minor in it.
