Logan chose to attend IU Indianapolis because of its lively campus and abundance of opportunities. Being a Bepko Scholar is one of Logan’s proudest achievements. It has shown her that her hard work in volunteering has not gone unnoticed, and it has motivated her to become even more involved in the community. Logan is passionate about raising awareness of disparities in the medical field, especially toward women and minorities. Logan recently received a diagnosis for a rare condition, and “the process was painstakingly long because it seemed that my doctors were not believing me.” This experience had made her more motivated to help others who may go through a similar situation or struggle with other health disparities. In her volunteer experience, Logan was involved in helping with meals in her local food pantry. This experience meant a lot to her because she was able to meet with the people she was helping. She was able to meet so many people from her community, all from many different backgrounds, and they were so nice and grateful. The conversations Logan had with guests at these meals were immensely valuable to her because they helped her realize her own privilege. Outside of her volunteering in high school, Logan was both a cheer and tennis captain. She will continue her cheering at IU Indianapolis. Her other hobbies include baking, cooking, crafts, puzzles, and pickleball. After IU Indianapolis, she plans to become a nurse anesthetist.
