Keziah chose IU Indianapolis because of the opportunities at the Kelley School of Business and within the city. To Keziah, being a Bepko Scholar means showing compassion to other and having a passion for helping those in the community. Keziah is passionate about the inequalities of socioeconomics in which individuals coming from lower-income families don’t have equal opportunities in the workforce. In High School, she assisted in organizations such as the New Horizons Rehabilitation Organization, Isaiah’s House, Operation Christmas Child, and St. Vincent House by creating care packages for individual within each one. In October 2023, she built a home with Habitat for Humanity. In addition to these, she also helped her community by getting involved in a Spina Bifida Fundraiser, volunteering at community festivals/celebrations, volunteering at track/triathlon races, and spending time with older generations to hear their perspectives on our future.
