Gabby chose to attend IU Indianapolis because of its resources and central location in Indiana. To Gabby, being a Bepko Scholar gives her a community of like-minded individuals who care for the world around them. In college, she hopes to make IU Indianapolis and the surrounding community more accessible to everyone of all abilities. Gabby is very passionate about disability inclusion. In her freshman year of high school, Gabby joined the Unified Sports Club. Unified Sports is a club for people with and without disabilities to participate equally in clubs. In her sophomore year, she became Co-President for the club. The people in the club have inspired her to be the person she wants to become when she gets older. Gabby’s career goal is to become a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician. She was inspired to become one by her family members and her four years of work at an autism therapy center.
