Aryan chose IU Indianapolis because of its strong academic programs, many research opportunities, and access to a network of professionals and companies in the area. Aryan describes a Bepko Scholar as “a person who displays leadership qualities which can help to inspire others through student organizations or other activities.” As a Bepko Scholar, he would love to continue to volunteer and give back to the community at IU Indianapolis and the local city. In high school, he volunteered and shadowed at Eskenazi Hospital where he got to learn more about hospitals and medical professionals. He also assisted the hospital in many different ways. Aryan was one of the top three in the state competition for HOSA in the Health Informatics event. After college, his career goal is to get into medical school and become a physician. Outside of his studies and volunteering, Aryan loves hanging out with friends and playing a variety of sports. He plays tennis, pickleball, and basketball for fun.
