Lillian chose IUPUI (now IU Indianapolis) because of its ideal location in downtown Indianapolis and its plethora of academic opportunities offered to students. Lillian is very passionate about mental health awareness. By working with a wide array of people, she realized many people struggle with mental health and refuse to admit it. She struggles with anxiety and depression, and her struggles assist her in connecting with those she is serving and allows her firsthand experience when advocating for such issues. As a Bepko Scholar, she would like to not only further her own volunteerism but also inspire those around her to pursue acts of service. Her most notable awards include Jeff Eaton Difference Maker Award and National Honor Society Standout Tutor Award.
