Being a Bepko Scholar to Kaylee means being an academically driven student and an active member of her community. As a Bepko Scholar, Kaylee hopes to uplift others and inspire people around her to volunteer in some way. She would also like to contribute to Jagathon and help raise money for Riley Children's Hospital. In high school, her most meaningful act of volunteerism was the FUSE Adaptive Swim program where she taught children with special needs how to swim. She has been teaching kids how to swim for four years and seeing their growth every year has been impactful. After graduating, she is interested in going to graduate school for occupational therapy or physician's assistant with the intention of specializing in pediatrics. She loves working with kids and health care and wants to incorporate that some way in her future.
