Ella chose IUPUI (now IU Indianapolis) because of its diverse and inclusive environment. Being a Bepko Scholar to Ella means being committed to service and the betterment of her community by promoting an inclusive environment. She is most passionate about creating and fostering an inclusive environment for everyone. Her goal is to continue taking steps to ensure that her community becomes a safe space for all. As a Bepko Scholar, Ella looks forward to supporting various clubs and philanthropic organizations through fundraising and leadership roles. She especially hopes to strengthen IU Indianapolis' connection with Riley Children's Hospital. In high school, she organized and participated in her school's "Bop to the Top" fundraiser. In 2023, her team raised over $1,000, which went directly to Riley Children's Foundation. In addition, Ella completed a summer internship at Northridge Gracious Retirement Living Center, which allowed her to learn life lessons, such as savoring every moment, following her passion, and being true to herself. When she's not out helping the community, she loves reading and creating art through different mediums. She is constantly inspired by her brother Logan, who lived a short life, but his impact on her family has been remarkable. Because of Logan, she reminds herself every day to be grateful for her life.
