Reid is excited to experience the opportunities that the Honors College has to offer, and to get involved in giving back to the community, especially at Riley Children’s Hospital. His goal is to make a difference and help create a culture of compassionate students on and off campus. Reid is passionate about youth advocacy and education, and hopes to make contributions towards this sector during his time at IU Indianapolis. In high school, Reid participated in the Riley Dance Marathon through his school. He also coordinated birthday party kits for Riley Children’s Hospital so the patients would have a proper birthday celebration despite being in the hospital. Reid is a national merit commended scholar and was awarded the “Set a Good Example” award for his community service efforts. He looks forward to serving the community and setting a good example through volunteerism. Reid will be majoring in Biology this fall.
