Ellie looks forward to her opportunities in the school of social work at IU Indianapolis (called IUPUI when she first began). “Being a Bepko Scholar means not only making a positive impact within my local community, but reaching out to other communities and being a resource for them as well,” Ellie said. She hopes to share her ideas with others and make a positive impact on the world through volunteerism and service. In high school, Ellie created a meal train for foster families in her community and collected food for families in Haiti through her church. She is passionate about child poverty and the continuation of her service contributions at IU Indianapolis.
