Keaton choose to study at IUPUI (now IU Indianapolis) to experience living in a bigger city as well as explore the opportunities that Indianapolis provides for those who study business. Being a Bepko Scholar, to Keaton means, “acting as a role model of what genuine volunteerism should be.” Keaton believes that Bepko Scholars exist to “promote a mindset of loving one's own community enough to sacrifice time and resources for it.”
