Degree Program: Biomedical Engineering, M.S. Program
Expected Graduation: May 2024
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., September 21, 2023—Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering and is currently in a graduate program for the same field of study through the 4 + 1 pathway. Through this program, it gives Emily a diverse educational experience because there is more freedom in her course selections. As an undergraduate at IUPUI, she was able to have a well-rounded experience shaped by academic learning as well as real world experiences. She was able to complete research, hold leadership positions in clubs, and work as a summer intern. During her undergraduate studies, Emily received the Top 100 award and Outstanding Biomedical Engineering Junior award. In the Honors College, Emily met some of her greatest friends and had some of the best experiences. From spending hours in the lounge studying for exams to meeting up early on the weekend to volunteer with the Bepko Scholars, the Honors College provided a community for Emily at IUPUI. To Emily, being a Bepko Fellow means having “the opportunity to continue to be a role model in the IUPUI community” while continuing her education and volunteer experiences. Emily’s personal hobbies include live music and sports. The thrill of seeing her favorite musicians and athletes do what they are successful at motivates her to do better at the things she loves.
