Raegan chose IU Indianapolis because of the wide range of majors and career paths it offers. She was drawn to the flexibility and opportunities available to help her explore and shape her future.
To her, being a Bepko Scholar means being actively engaged in volunteerism, striving for excellence in academics and extracurricular activities, and demonstrating resilience and purpose in making a positive impact on the world.
A social issue Raegan is deeply passionate about is mental health. She says, “Mental health is overly stigmatized when, truly, everyone being blunt and honest about it can make mental health struggles less of a taboo subject.” She has volunteered at her church’s monthly free-will donation breakfast for those in need for over thirteen years. In addition, she has been involved in 4-H for ten years, where she actively participated in sewing and fashion review projects. She enjoys volunteering, creating art, reading books, and watching movies.
As a Bepko Scholar, Raegan aspires to be a confident and compassionate leader in her volunteer work and to help others gain confidence in themselves as well.
