Jenna chose IU Indianapolis because of its strong reputation in the healthcare industry and the many opportunities it offers, such as networking within the Indianapolis community.
When thinking about what it means to be a Bepko Scholar, Jenna says, “To me, being a Bepko Scholar is a great honor and means being a member of a community of people who are very goal-oriented and always striving to make the world around them a better place.”
When it comes to volunteer work, Jenna is passionate about helping reduce the struggles of hunger and poverty within the community. To help address these economic challenges, she has volunteered at her local food bank throughout high school. In addition, she has served at places like the Salvation Army, women’s crisis centers, hospitals, nursing homes, and animal shelters through her various volunteering clubs, such as the National Honors Society. Recognizing the positive impact food banks have on their communities, Jenna plans to continue her volunteer work in local food banks during college.
Jenna is very passionate about becoming a dental hygienist, and her family and friends motivate her to become the best version of herself. Jenna’s goal is to positively impact everyone she interacts with.
