Hailey chose IU Indianapolis for its downtown location, diverse campus, and the many social and academic opportunities it offers. To her, being a Bepko Scholar means striving for excellence both inside and outside the classroom, while advocating for others and uplifting those around her.
In high school, Hailey was involved in Key Club, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA). In Key Club, she led a donation drive for a nonprofit focused on lung health, served as Indiana District Webmaster managing the website and social media, and worked as a Lieutenant to support five other Key Club communities.
A social issue Hailey is deeply passionate about is homelessness and poverty. She hopes to address the lack of support for disadvantaged individuals and contribute to long-term solutions.
At IU Indianapolis, she plans to pursue city-based internships and study abroad programs. As a first-generation high school graduate and college student, she is determined to build a future shaped by resilience and hard work, with the goal of becoming a marketing manager after graduation.
