Audrey chose IU Indianapolis because of its strong sense of community and the opportunities it offers for her future. To her, being a Bepko Scholar means focusing on academic success while also dedicating time to serving others and giving back to the community.
A social issue Audrey is passionate about is climate change. She believes it is important not only to keep the Earth clean but also to understand how human actions affect the climate and various ecosystems. In high school, she organized a school food drive for the Grant County Rescue Mission, picked up trash along the Cardinal Greenway, volunteered at the St. Vincent House, and served on the board of the Pot of Gold Foundation, a nonprofit organization. These experiences immersed Audrey in the world of volunteerism and helped her understand how to take on leadership roles within her community.
As a Bepko Scholar, Audrey hopes to make a meaningful impact on both her peers and the broader community through volunteer work and academic achievement.
In her free time, Audrey enjoys crafting, crocheting, listening to music, and exploring nature. She is an avid Star Wars fan and loves reading classic novels. In the future, she hopes to earn her nursing degree and pursue a career in oncology.
